Mas Metal Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. was founded in 1995 by the late Mehmet EKREKLİ and his son-in-law Iskender ARSLAN.
Born in Bayburt in 1938, Mehmet EKREKLİ began working as an apprentice in his father Nadim Usta's workshop at the early age of 5 in 1943. Thanks to his strong analytical ability to think, his quick perception and his insatiable curiosity about engines and technology, Mehmet EKREKLI quickly developed into one of the first engine masters in the Bayburt province. At that time he received the titles of certified master of the Land Rover and BMC brands.
It was in his nature in his genes; Mehmet EKREKLI's move to Istanbul in 1978 was his expertise in mechanical engineering, his keen interest in technology and the drive to realize projects he had developed himself and which he already imagined. He continued to work as an engine master and at that time had already promoted the domestic and national mechanical engineering sector with his own designs and developments. There was a particularly great demand for his specially developed and constructed “shipyard overhead cranes”, “automatic packaging machines” and his “textile fixing machines”.
In 1995 Mehmet EKREKLI founded Mas Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd together with his son-in-law Iskender ARSLAN in order to further deepen his knowledge and expertise and to continue to run his company under the roof of a medium-sized company.
The mass production of textile machines contributed significantly to the development of the local mechanical engineering and textile industries. He is one of the pioneers who is jointly responsible for the rapid development of these two sectors, which are important for the country.
Motivated by the institutionalization and the advantages of a family business, which he used profitably and correctly, he was able to ensure easier application of the systems with his own developments in international comparison, with his "Run Flat and Jant" and his "Motor Test Unit" and thus set another milestone . While continuing to serve the Turkish industry, he also started to produce products for the international market outside of Turkey.
When Mehmet EKREKLI passed away in 2010, he left behind a medium-sized company that had established itself on the market and handed over the scepter to his son-in-law Iskender ARSLAN, which continues this task with constant quality, customer-oriented action and the intention to further advance the development of new innovative and sustainable products and to continue to support the industry in their own country to this day.
